FAMILY OF TEENAGE AMERICAN TERROR VICTIM, KIDNAPPED AND KILLED BY HAMAS IN ISRAEL, TO PROVIDE TESTIMONY AGAINST IRAN & SYRIA

INFAMOUS STORY OF 3 MURDERED TEENS TO BE HEARD IN DC COURT FOR THE FIRST TIME

The tragic story of the kidnapping and brutal murder of three teenagers in Israel, in the summer of 2014, will be heard for this first time this week in a Washington D.C. court room.

Racheli Fraenkel will deliver her testimony on the witness stand this Tuesday, and give her personal account of the events which led up to the kidnapping and murder of her son, Naftali Fraenkel along with teenagers Eyal Yifrah and Gilad Shaer. Racheli’s testimony is part of a lawsuit filed by the Fraenkel family against Iran and Syria, for those countries’ roles in providing financial support to Hamas to carry out the kidnappings. Due to Naftali Fraenkel’s dual US-Israeli citizenship, the family is able to sue Iran and Syria in an American federal court. The trial will take place at the US District Court in Washington, DC at 333 Constitution Avenue NW.

In addition to Racheli Fraenkel’s testimony, intelligence documents will be presented to the court which confirm Iran and Syria’s direct funding of the kidnapping and transfer of 220,000 NIS to Hamas to carry out the terror operation. The funding for the terror operation was laundered through Gaza-based charitable organization, Al-Nur.

Fraenkel’s testimony will be supported by testimonies from a former Israeli intelligence officer and a former agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Fraenkel, the intelligence officers and expert witnesses will be asked to depict in detail the horrific events which paralyzed the Israeli public in the summer of 2014 and initiated a war against Hamas in Gaza. Their testimonies will cover all aspects of the Hamas terror operation including how the attack was planned and funded, how vehicles and weapons were obtained, an initial failed kidnapping attempt by the terrorists, and explicit details of the actual kidnapping and murder of the three young boys, instead of an Israeli soldier as was originally planned. Testimony will also be given concerning how the bodies were hidden, the search for and discovery of the bodies, and the eventual apprehension of the murderers.

The lawsuit against Iran and Syria was filed by the Fraenkel family through Israel-based civil rights organization Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center, headed by attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, and is part of a series of lawsuits which the Law Center has filed in the US against terror organizations and terror-sponsoring states.

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, founder of Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center, stated, “The kidnapping of the boys would not have been successful without the 220,000 NIS in funding. The funding, which was received through a charitable organization affiliated with Hamas, was essential, and enabled the murderers to buy the vehicles and weapons used in the kidnapping. Again we see that money is the oxygen of terror, and if we can stop the flow of money we can beat the terrorists.”

Furthermore, Darshan-Leitner also stated, “Iran and Syria are the founders of state-sponsored terror funding, and we will continue to fight them in every way possible until they understand that there is a price to pay for spilling Jewish blood.”
